Max Gridman (マックスグリッドマン, Makkusu Guriddoman) is the Heracles Combination (剛力合体超人, Gōriki Gattai Chōjinn) form of Gridman and Max in his Battle Tract Max access form introduced in SSSS.GRIDMAN.
Technical Overview
Max Gridman is Gridman's power upgrade form when combined with the Battle Tract Max, where it openly splits to become an attachment pair of gigantic forearms that increases his brute strength. His strength is increased several hundred times followed by enhanced close combat but decreases in speed as the only downside. To close the gap is Max whose mind is operable in Assist Weapon mode with his Tanker Cannons which become Max Gridman's shoulder artillery and the wheels on its forearms function as auxiliary thrusters, allowing it to correct its trajectory when jumping, increase its punching and kicking power, and fly for short periods of time.
Attacks & Abilities
- Tanker Cannons (タンカーキャノン): Battle Tract Max's smoothbore cannons which performs the same as in Assist Weapon mode, but as the latter's shoulder cannons.
- Max Grid Beam (マックスグリッドビーム, Makkusu Guriddo Bīmu): An enhanced version of Gridman's Grid Beam with heightened power statistics.
- Super Lightning Kick (超電撃キック, Chō Dengeki Kikku): A finisher in form of powerful kick boosted by Battle Tracto Max's rocket thrusters.

- Aim for the Top! Gunbuster: The Super Lightning Kick bears similarity to Gunbuster's Super Inazuma Kick including its move name.
- The Brave Exkaiser: The formation sequence bears similar elements towards Exkaiser's combination sequences which in turn parodies that Gordian's "matyroska" transformations from Gordian Warrior by Tatsunoko.
- The King of Braves GaoGaiGar: His hand-clasping motion, prior to executing Max Grid Beam is a tribute to the titular mecha's Hell & Heaven technique.
